New aircraft arrivals strengthen capacity across global destinations
ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has reported a significant rise in passenger traffic for July 2025, marking continued momentum in its growth strategy.
In July, the airline carried 2.0 million passengers, up 19 percent from 1.7 million in July 2024.
The passenger load factor increased to 90 percent, compared to 89 percent last year, reflecting high demand and effective capacity management.
What’s new in Etihad’s fleet?
Etihad’s operating fleet has grown to 111 aircraft, compared to 94 a year earlier, enabling the airline to expand its passenger network from 76 to 81 destinations. July alone saw the arrival of five new aircraft – two Boeing 787s, an Airbus A350-1000, an A320, and the airline’s first A321LR.
Etihad’s milestones in 2025
Year-to-date, Etihad has carried 12.2 million passengers, a 17 percent rise from the same period in 2024. The average passenger load factor for 2025 stands at 88 percent, up from 86 percent last year.
The rolling 12-month total reached 20.3 million passengers, the highest in the airline’s history.
July 2025 became a record month for Etihad, with fleet growth and passenger volumes hitting new highs.
CEO Antonoaldo Neves credited this success to network strength, customer trust, and ongoing investments in capacity expansion.
